irony in advertising
I was just pulling up the video for the Good Charlotte song, "I Don't Want to Be in Love" on YouTube. (I like the song. It's catchy...a guilty pleasure, though I'm not typically a GC fan.) Anyway, the ad to the right of the video - "eHarmony Dating. Looking for a serious relationship? Let eHarmony help. Sign up today!" Thanks Google Ads!
Also, seems like every time I sign onto Facebook and sometimes on Gmail, I see these sponsored links and ads, such as:

Is online advertising trying to tell me something??? I think I'm fine in the crush department. Really. I mean, my Chinese Zodiac Horoscope said, "A very harmonious relation will be established between you and a person with great qualities of heart." As such, I'll pass on receiving flirting tips and crush predictions via SMS for only $9.99/mo.
Okay. I sound like a teenager, now. Oh well. I'm gonna go throw a turkey at some peeps on Facebook and text my bff now.

Ewww, I remember getting emails from CrushLink a while back... bad vibes there. I also remember a more subtle and innocent service back in the college days, but I can't remember the address. Any farther back and then it's passing notes in the hallway between class.
Ummm... I didn't get a text. Does that mean I M not UR bff? wtf?
Charissa - Maybe I texted UR bff Jill by mistake. ;) U R def my bff. no worries. :-)
Crazy the types of advertising you can find... Being one of the owners of YourCrush.com I wanted to say hello lol.. :x
