CSA Week 11
Lack of getting pictures uploaded has delayed posting again. For now here's the list.
1. yellowy-orange heirloom tomatoes
2. HUGE strangely torpedo-shaped red heirloom tomatoes
3. lettuce
4. purple basil - gorgeous, fragrant, and tasty
I've been enjoying great salads!

I have been getting a lot of tomatoes, mostly red this time, and I have been roasting all of them (400 degrees for 20 minutes, sliced and covered top and bottom in olive oil with a VERY light sprinkle each of salt, pepper and sugar). The basil sounds like a great excuse to make purple pesto!
